About SL.O

Secret Language Online is a project to create a complete, learnable constructed language called SL.O (Secret Language Online) and to make it easy for anyone to write and read it.

Why SL.O exists

Many people enjoy secret languages: for stories and games, for notes between friends, or simply for the pleasure of language design. Most online “secret language” tools only swap letters. SL.O aims higher. It has a documented alphabet, fixed pronunciation, word-building rules and a grammar, so it can grow into a language that people can actually learn.

What we are building

• A free translator between English and SL.O, with Roman letters and the original symbol script.
• Learning guides: alphabet, pronunciation and grammar.
• A growing dictionary that is checked for duplicate words and for sound rules.

Our principles

• Honesty. We tell you when a word is missing or a sentence is outside the grammar we have written so far.
• Privacy. Translation runs in your browser. We do not need an account and we do not store the text you translate.
• Quality over quantity. New words are added carefully, not generated in bulk.
